Autumn weddings are just awesome. I ended up having a nice busy spell in September and October, which I wasn’t really expecting given how 2020 has gone so far!
When the COVID pandemic took hold, I thought my wedding season was over before it had even begun. I had 35 weddings in the diary for 2020 and had just finished my 4th when the UK went into lockdown in late March. Like most people, I thought it would blow over in a few months and was still optimistic of a good summer… Well it’s dragged on for over 8 months and I’m pretty sure that you, like me, are completely sick of it and wondering what’s going to happen next!
It was August before I got to shoot another wedding. Eilidh and Robert had their wedding in the grounds of Castle Menzies just outside Aberfeldy. Obviously I was slightly apprehensive going into the wedding, I had no idea whether the restrictions were going to disrupt the day or if I would be able to shoot in my normal style given social distancing guidelines. I needn’t have worried! The day flowed perfectly and everyone had an amazing day.
Since August I have shot 11 weddings and still have another 4 to go before the end of the year. They have been very different from the large numbers of guests I’m used to, but they are always a great day. All the couples have said how much they enjoyed the more relaxed and intimate atmosphere. There’s far less pressure on the schedule too. Things are just so much easier with only 20 people!
I’ve added a mini wedding/elopement package to my price list. Although it’s not on the website yet, I will cover small weddings and elopements for £595. This includes all the same things as my standard wedding packages. You get the USB box and 25 prints and a password protected online gallery. There is 2-3 hours of coverage included and this can be tailored to suit your wedding.
Here’s a bucketload of pics from some of my autumn weddings. If you are planning a small wedding and need a photography package tailored to suit your day, get in touch!
Here’s a selection of photos from their day.
